Abstract:The article concerns main methodological issues of modeling of traffic flows of export and import commodities through checkpoints at borders of the Russian Federation and the Customs Union. Specific features of building of the export trade theoretical model taking into account cargo transportation routes and the issue of application of the methods for evaluation of the model to the data of real traffic flows are discussed. Evaluations of the simplest models on the Russian data point out importance of the quality factors of the domestic transport infrastructure for selection of import cargo traffic flow routes.
