Abstract:
The article considers the main characteristics of e-commerce and traditional retail trade, their advantages and disadvantages, similarities and differences. We have found that the main advantages of e-commerce are firstly the time reduction of purchasing process, since there is no need to go shopping and to look for the product you need, and secondly, the rereduction of costs, which allows e-shops to cut prices. However, e-shop customers must deal with goods delivery duration, which sometimes can be quite a long period. This is a drawback for e-commerce, but an advantage for traditional stores, where goods can be taken home right after the purchase.
