The role of intellectual capital in the development of services sectors

Highlights:
Intellectual resources are the basis for the emergence and promotion of innovations, increasing competitiveness, both within the economic entity, industry and the economy as a whole. The growth of the knowledge economy and promotion of innovative factor in a leading position among other economic development factors requires close study of intellectual capital and its role in the economic development industry. As the organizational capital of companies operating in the service sector has a direct impact on the innovative development of the industry. Definition of type of industry on the basis of the selected gradation will form the strategic development, finding opportunities and ways to improve economic efficiency.

Abstract:
Intellectual capital is not only one of the most important factors of competitiveness of economic entities, but also the effective functioning of the sector as a whole. This requires careful study of the value and role of organizational capital in the development of companies. The purpose of the proposed study is to develop a system of measuring organizational capital in influencing innovation activity of economic entities and their complex influence on the economic development of the industry. The methodological basis of research are the concept of sectoral development, economic and mathematical models, research of Russian and foreign scientists in the field of intellectual capital, industrial and innovative development. As methods of assessing the economic space, statistical, mathematical methods, methods of comparative analysis are used. The main results of the research are the system of measuring organizational capital companies operating in the services sector, including metrics and indicators, the algorithm of calculation of integral indicators and tools to further isolate the type of industry.
