The film industry as a sector of "creative industries": the objectives of a diversified approach

The relevance of the study is due to the special value of the film industry in the structure of “creative industries“, as the film industry combines elements of artistic culture and industrial production. The study of the film industry was conducted in the framework of the analysis of creative factors inherent in the film industry at all stages of the process of creating and implementing the main product (film). The study focuses on the dependence of the viability of creativity with business objectives, while forming a broad potential for innovation, which is considered a key contribution to the development of the modern economy, and itself is a driver of economic growth. The study revealed that the state cultural policy of Russia continues to be based on historically established approaches without taking into account the multifactorial influence of the film industry on other sectors of the economy. The paper proposes to expand the range of economic indicators to assess the film industry from the position of the sector of “creative industries“ in order to further determine the effectiveness of measures of state protectionism, industry development trends
