Career guidance in the context of the concept of lifelong learning

Abstract:
Career guidance in the context of the concept of continuous life-long education (Long Life Learning – LLL) is a common ideology of choice of the professional career of the working-age individual given the changing socio-economic reality. The importance of career guidance in the conditions of the VUCA economy relates to the need to reach the actors of the labour market sustainable growth of profitability and reduction in labor costs. On the basis of the system-triad analysis of the genesis of ideas about the nature and content of professional orientation, the article substantiates its modern concept. The term “triad of career guidance“ is introduced into the management turnover. On the basis of the analysis and generalization of the available domestic and foreign experience of professional orientation the author's interpretation of the concept “design of professional orientation“, interpretation of its social and economic content, essence is given. The classification of types of career guidance design is given, such as: operational and strategic. The author's interpretation of the imperatives of operational and strategic designs of career guidance is given. The imperatives of career guidance design allow to identify and predict the opportunities and risks when choosing a professional career by an able-bodied individual.
