Abstract:
This article discusses the diamond deposits of the Arctic, located in Canada and Russia. The main Arctic deposits of Canada, namely: Ekati, Diavik, Gahcho Kué, are studied, their productivity in 2017 and its forecast in 2018 in comparison with other diamond deposits of Canada is given. In addition, the potential of each of Canada's fields, including the Arctic, is presented. The Arctic fields of Russia, namely: Mayat and Young mines, the field named after M. V. Lomonosov, the deposit named after V. P. Grib, is studied; their productivity in 2017 and 2018 is given; the potential of each of them in comparison with other diamond deposits of Russia is presented.
