The article proposes a project to convert the usual post-Soviet single-industry town into innopolis on the example of the city of Sterlitamaka. Mass fascination with business activities on creation of high–tech products allows to solve the problem of single towns, which is relevant for today 's Russia, where everything depends on the only enterprise or sphere of activity. Jobs are emerging, the economy is diversifying, investment is attracted. A lot depends on the special creative atmosphere in the territory of the city.
