Abstract:
The gender approach to the analysis of the labour market and employment is an objective necessity due to the existence of gender imbalances and their impact on the state and development of the labour market. The nature of these imbalances, associated with the different assessment of the work of men and women, the distribution of professional skills in accordance with gender, as well as the existence of psycho-social problems, makes it necessary to create a modern paradigm of socio-economic policy within the sphere of employment, since not only the mentioned imbalances are growing, but there are new factors that strengthen them. In market conditions, women are less competitive in the labour market than men. Gender has become one of the decisive factors of discrimination in the sphere of wage labour, distribution of power and property, culture and education, political and spiritual life of society.
