Abstract:The paper suggests that the development process of innovation activities of banks in Russia should be divided in four stages and analyzes trends in the
current innovation process. It reveals that at present Russian banks focus their main efforts on the improvement of retail services using a variety of remote service channels, as well as on the optimization of internal processes to meet these tasks.
